Terms of Service
Arca Savings LLC · Effective Date: April 25, 2026
Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the Arca Savings website and platform (collectively, the "Service") operated by Arca Savings LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company ("Arca," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Arca Savings is a free financial information and comparison platform. You provide us with your current savings account balance and interest rate (APY), and we compare that against publicly available rates from a curated list of high-yield savings account (HYSA) providers to show you how much additional interest you could potentially earn per year.
Arca is not a bank, broker-dealer, investment advisor, financial planner, or financial institution. We do not hold, transfer, manage, or have any access to your funds or bank accounts. We do not collect or store your bank account credentials, account numbers, or any other banking access information.
**Compensation Notice: **As of the Effective Date of these Terms, Arca does not have affiliate agreements with any financial institution. Links to third-party savings account providers on the Service are provided for informational convenience only, and Arca currently receives no compensation of any kind when you click those links or open an account. If Arca enters into affiliate or referral compensation arrangements in the future, these Terms and our Privacy Policy will be updated to reflect that, and prominent disclosure will be added to the Service prior to any such arrangements taking effect.
2. The Arca Copilot — AI-Powered Chat Assistant
2a. What the Copilot Is
The Service may include an AI-powered conversational assistant referred to as the "Arca Copilot" (the "Copilot"). The Copilot uses a large language model (LLM) — a type of artificial intelligence trained on large amounts of text data — to respond to questions about financial products, how to open savings accounts, and the general features of banks and banking products. The Copilot is designed as an informational tool only.
2b. Limitations You Must Understand Before Using the Copilot
BY USING THE COPILOT, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING LIMITATIONS:
- The Copilot's knowledge has a training cutoff date. The underlying LLM was trained on data available only up to a certain point in time. It may not be aware of changes that financial institutions have made to their products, fees, rates, eligibility requirements, account terms, or procedures after that date.
- Financial institutions change their products and policies frequently. A bank may have introduced, modified, or discontinued a product, changed its minimum deposit requirements, altered its fee structure, or updated its account-opening process at any time — including after the Copilot's training cutoff — and the Copilot may be unaware of those changes.
- The Copilot can make mistakes. LLMs can generate responses that are inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, or entirely fabricated (a phenomenon known as "hallucination"), even when stated with apparent confidence. The Copilot's responses are not reviewed by a human before being displayed to you.
- The Copilot is not a licensed financial advisor, banker, or customer service representative. Its responses do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice of any kind. See Section 3 (Not Financial Advice) for the full disclaimer.
- The Copilot cannot take actions on your behalf. It cannot open accounts, submit applications, transfer funds, or communicate with any financial institution. It provides information only.
2c. Verification Requirement
YOU SHOULD INDEPENDENTLY VERIFY ALL INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE COPILOT DIRECTLY WITH THE RELEVANT FINANCIAL INSTITUTION BEFORE TAKING ANY ACTION. This includes, without limitation, account minimums, fees, rates, eligibility requirements, documentation requirements, and account-opening procedures. Do not rely solely on the Copilot's responses when making financial decisions.
The most reliable source of information about a bank's products is always the bank itself — its official website, published disclosures, and customer service representatives.
2d. No Liability for Copilot Outputs
ARCA EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE, OR HARM ARISING FROM YOUR RELIANCE ON RESPONSES PROVIDED BY THE COPILOT. THIS INCLUDES LOSSES ARISING FROM INACCURATE, OUTDATED, OR INCOMPLETE INFORMATION, FROM ACTIONS YOU TAKE OR FAIL TO TAKE BASED ON COPILOT RESPONSES, OR FROM ANY ERRORS IN THE UNDERLYING AI MODEL.
2e. User Conduct When Using the Copilot
By using the Copilot, you agree not to:
- Provide false, misleading, or deceptive information to the Copilot. The quality of the Copilot's responses depends on the accuracy of what you provide; garbage in, garbage out.
- Attempt to manipulate, bypass, or interfere with the Copilot's intended functioning, including attempting to circumvent content filters, safety measures, or topic restrictions.
- Attempt to extract the Copilot's underlying system prompts, training data, model weights, or proprietary instructions.
- Use the Copilot to generate, distribute, or act on information intended to harm, defraud, or mislead any person or institution.
- Use the Copilot to collect or process personal information about other individuals without their consent or in violation of applicable privacy laws.
- Use the Copilot for unauthorized commercial purposes, including scraping, reselling, or incorporating Copilot responses into competing products or services without our written consent.
- Engage with the Copilot in any manner that is abusive, harassing, offensive, or otherwise violates applicable law.
2f. Data Use — How Copilot Interactions Are Handled
Your interactions with the Copilot — including the questions you ask and the responses generated — may be recorded, logged, and reviewed for purposes including quality assurance, customer support, safety monitoring, and improvement of the Service. To the extent permitted by our agreements with our AI model provider, these interactions may also be used to evaluate and refine the underlying AI system.
Copilot conversations are processed by our third-party AI model provider (currently Anthropic, PBC). By using the Copilot, you acknowledge that your inputs are transmitted to and processed by Anthropic in accordance with Anthropic's usage policies. We do not sell Copilot conversation data to third parties, and we do not use your Copilot interactions to serve you targeted advertising.
Please do not share sensitive personal information — such as your Social Security Number, account numbers, passwords, or detailed financial account information — with the Copilot. The Copilot is not designed to receive or securely store such information, and Arca is not responsible for any consequences of your sharing it. For more information on how we handle data, please see our Privacy Policy.
3. Not Financial Advice
THE SERVICE DOES NOT PROVIDE FINANCIAL, INVESTMENT, TAX, OR LEGAL ADVICE. All content, calculations, and information provided through the Service are for general informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute professional financial advice, a recommendation, or a solicitation to purchase or open any financial product.
Arca is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, financial planner, or fiduciary. The comparisons and calculations generated by the Service are based solely on the balance and APY information you provide and publicly available rate data, and are intended to help you understand a potential opportunity — not to tell you what financial decisions to make.
You should consult a qualified financial professional before making any financial decisions. We make no representation that any financial product referenced on the Service is suitable for your individual financial situation, needs, goals, or risk tolerance.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age and a resident of the United States to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete it.
5. How the Service Works — Your Data
To use the Service, you provide the following information manually:
- Your current savings account balance (a number you type in)
- Your current savings account interest rate / APY (a number you type in)
We use this information — along with publicly sourced HYSA rate data that we maintain — to calculate an estimated annual interest differential and display a comparison of available accounts. This information is used only during your active session to generate your comparison and is not stored by Arca after your session ends.
We do not ask for, collect, or store your bank account numbers, routing numbers, bank login credentials, Social Security Number, or any other sensitive financial access information. There is no bank-linking of any kind.
If you voluntarily provide your email address (for example, to receive rate change alerts), that information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
6. Accuracy of Rate Information; Illustrative Nature of Calculations
6a. Rate Data Accuracy
The HYSA rates and product information displayed on the Service are sourced from publicly available data that we update periodically. Interest rates change frequently, and we make no guarantee that the rates displayed at any given moment are current, complete, or accurate.
ARCA MAKES NO WARRANTY, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR TIMELINESS OF ANY RATE OR PRODUCT INFORMATION DISPLAYED ON THE SERVICE. YOU SHOULD CONFIRM ALL RATES AND TERMS DIRECTLY WITH THE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION BEFORE MAKING ANY FINANCIAL DECISION.
6b. Calculations Are Illustrative Estimates Only — Not Guarantees
The interest calculations generated by the Service — including any projected annual earnings, interest differentials, or dollar amounts shown (e.g., "You could earn $X more per year") — are hypothetical, illustrative estimates based solely on: (i) the balance you enter, (ii) the APY you enter, and (iii) the HYSA rate data displayed on the Service at the time of your session. These figures are provided to help you visualize a potential opportunity, not to predict or guarantee future results.
ACTUAL INTEREST EARNED WILL DIFFER FROM ANY AMOUNT SHOWN ON THE SERVICE. Among the reasons your actual results will vary:
- High-yield savings account APYs are variable rates. Financial institutions can lower or raise their rates at any time, without prior notice, in response to changes in the federal funds rate, market conditions, or their own business decisions. A rate advertised as 4.50% APY today may be materially lower within months.
- Your account balance will change. Deposits, withdrawals, and transfers throughout the year will affect the principal on which interest is calculated.
- Interest is typically compounded daily and credited monthly. The actual compounding method used by a given institution may produce results that differ from a simple annualized projection.
- You may not be approved for, or may not choose to open, any account shown.
- Account terms, minimum balance requirements, fees, or other eligibility conditions may apply and could reduce your actual net earnings.
ARCA MAKES NO REPRESENTATION, WARRANTY, OR GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL EARN ANY PARTICULAR AMOUNT OF INTEREST BY OPENING AN ACCOUNT WITH ANY INSTITUTION FEATURED ON THE SERVICE. ANY DOLLAR FIGURE SHOWN IS A MATHEMATICAL ILLUSTRATION BASED ON STATIC INPUTS PROVIDED BY YOU AT A SINGLE POINT IN TIME. IT IS NOT A PREDICTION, PROJECTION, OR GUARANTEE OF FUTURE INTEREST INCOME AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS SUCH.
7. Third-Party Links and Future Affiliate Relationships
7a. Third-Party Links (Current State)
The Service contains links to third-party websites, including the websites of high-yield savings account providers. As of the Effective Date of these Terms, these links are provided solely for informational convenience. Arca does not currently receive any compensation — monetary or otherwise — when you click these links or open an account through them.
Arca does not control and is not responsible for the content, accuracy, privacy practices, or terms of service of any third-party website. Your use of any third-party website is governed by that site's own terms and policies. The display of a link to a third-party website does not constitute an endorsement by Arca of that site, its products, or its services.
7b. Future Affiliate or Referral Arrangements
Arca intends to enter into affiliate or referral fee arrangements with financial institutions in the future. Under such arrangements, Arca would receive compensation (such as a commission) when you open an account through a qualifying link on the Service.
Before any such arrangements take effect, Arca will:
- Update these Terms of Service to reflect the existence of compensation relationships;
- Update the Privacy Policy to describe any data sharing associated with those arrangements;
- Add a clear and prominent compensation or advertiser disclosure on the Service, consistent with FTC guidelines for affiliate marketing.
Your continued use of the Service after any such updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Service, including text, graphics, logos, software code, and the underlying analysis and comparison methodology, is the property of Arca Savings LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from any content on the Service without our express written permission.
Nothing in these Terms grants you any license to use the Arca name, logo, or other trademarks.
If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas to Arca, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, incorporate, and build upon that feedback for any purpose without compensation to you.
9. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service or its related systems;
- Use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or similar tools to access, scrape, or extract data from the Service without our written consent;
- Introduce malware, viruses, or other harmful code into the Service;
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our infrastructure.
10. Disclaimers of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
ARCA DOES NOT WARRANT OR REPRESENT THAT ANY FINANCIAL PRODUCT FEATURED ON THE SERVICE WILL BE AVAILABLE TO YOU, THAT YOU WILL QUALIFY FOR ANY FEATURED PRODUCT, OR THAT ANY FEATURED RATE WILL STILL BE IN EFFECT WHEN YOU APPLY.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ARCA SAVINGS LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICE — INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, LOSS OF DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100). BECAUSE ARCA CURRENTLY PROVIDES THE SERVICE FREE OF CHARGE AND RECEIVES NO COMPENSATION FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, THIS LIMITATION IS A FAIR REFLECTION OF THE ALLOCATION OF RISK BETWEEN THE PARTIES.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Arca Savings LLC and its members, managers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of or access to the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law; or (d) any content or information you submit through the Service.
13. Dispute Resolution and Binding Arbitration
13a. Informal Resolution
Before initiating any formal legal proceeding, you agree to contact Arca at legal@arcasavings.com and attempt to resolve the matter informally. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve any dispute within thirty (30) days of receiving your written notice.
13b. Binding Arbitration
If informal resolution fails, any claim, dispute, or controversy between you and Arca arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator. Arbitration will be conducted in Norwalk, Connecticut, or by telephone or video conference at your election for claims under $25,000.
YOU AND ARCA EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL. YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION. All claims must be brought in an individual capacity.
13c. Opt-Out Right
You may opt out of the binding arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@arcasavings.com within thirty (30) days of your first use of the Service. Your opt-out notice must include your name and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of arbitration. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the courts identified in Section 13.
13d. Small Claims Exception
Either party may bring an individual action in Connecticut small claims court (or the small claims court of your state of residence) for claims within that court's jurisdiction, without first engaging in informal dispute resolution.
13e. AAA Fee Reimbursement
For arbitration claims that do not exceed $25,000, Arca will reimburse all AAA filing fees and costs. If you are unable to pay the filing fee, Arca will pay it on your behalf. If you prevail on any claim exceeding $25,000, Arca will reimburse the filing fees and costs you paid to the AAA.
14. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. This choice of law reflects the fact that Arca Savings LLC is organized and operates in Connecticut.
If the arbitration agreement is found to be unenforceable, or for any claim not subject to arbitration, you agree that such claim shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue in those courts.
15. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding the minimal information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to it.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes — particularly changes related to the introduction of affiliate compensation arrangements, data sharing practices, or your legal rights — we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on the Service and updating the Effective Date. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of material changes.
Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, please stop using the Service.
17. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Sections 7 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimers), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), 12 (Dispute Resolution), and 13 (Governing Law) shall survive any termination.
18. Miscellaneous
**Entire Agreement. **These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Arca concerning the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
**Severability. **If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
**Waiver. **Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
**Assignment. **You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Arca may assign its rights and obligations freely, including in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
**No Third-Party Beneficiaries. **These Terms are for the benefit of you and Arca only and do not create rights in any third party.
